Rock 4 Recovery

Revisiting Creedence to Headline Rock 4 Recovery Concert Presented by Dominion Energy

June 13, 2022

Columbia, SC — With a musical lineage tied to the very essence of traditional Southern folk, down home blues and legendary “swamp” rock, Revisiting Creedence will headline the LRADAC Foundation’s 8th annual fundraising event presented by Dominion Energy. All proceeds from this substance-free concert will help raise awareness about the power and healing of recovery from substance misuse and help support persons in financial distress so they can fully participate in recovery services for themselves and their families.

Revisiting Creedence is the only band in the world with the heritage, experience, and dedication to celebrate and honor the musical legacy of Creedence Clearwater Revival both accurately and authentically. Led by vocalist Dan McGuinness and guitarist Kurt Griffey, Revisiting Creedence has performed over the past decade with rock royalty, fronting Creedence Clearwater Revival founding members Stu Cook and Doug “Cosmo” Clifford’s touring project, Creedence Clearwater Revisited. Revisiting Creedence will rock the iconic catalog of CCR, one of America’s all-time greatest bands, with such hits as “Green River,” “Bad Moon Rising,” “Down on The Corner,” “Born on The Bayou,” “Fortunate Son,” “Proud Mary,” and “Susie Q”. Prior to the band taking the stage, popular Columbia DJ Prince Ice will be spinning old school party hits from the 1970s, 80s and 90s to get the night off to a rocking start.

“Because of the generous support of presenting sponsor Dominion Energy and our loyal audience, Rock 4 Recovery has turned into one of the Midlands’ signature events—offering an alcohol-free alternative concert for live music lovers of all ages,” said Amy Reeves, LRADAC Foundation Chair. “With the success of our first two concerts, the LRADAC Foundation has allocated nearly $100,000 over the past three years to help families and individuals enter recovery who were unable to do so on their own because of a lack of insurance or inability to pay.”

“It means so much to us to support the LRADAC Foundation in the life-changing and often lifesaving work they do every day,” said Keller Kissam, president of Dominion Energy South Carolina. “This local organization gives hope and healing to people on their road to recovery, which helps to keep families and communities together.”

Rock 4 Recovery will take place Friday, September 23, 2022. The event will run from 5:30 – 10 pm at the Icehouse Amphitheater located at 107 W Main St, Lexington, SC 29072. A wide array of local food trucks will also be on site for snacks, dinners, and desserts, before and during the concert. Tickets for Rock 4 Recovery are $25 and will be available for sale June 13 at rock4recovery22.eventbrite.com.
