Prescription Take Back Events Planned for this Saturday in Lexington County

Columbia, SC – The Rise Above It Lexington Two Community Coalition and the Lexington One Community Coalition in partnership with local law enforcement agencies are hosting multiple prescription drug take back events at pharmacies throughout their communities on Saturday April 29, 2017.  The purpose of these collection sites is to provide community members with a way to dispose of prescription drugs in a safe manner.  By doing so, these drugs are kept out of reach for children and will not contaminate the environment.

Drop-off events will take place from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the following locations:

  • CVS Pharmacy
    4210 Charleston Highway West Columbia, S.C. 29169

    5608 Sunset Blvd Lexington, S.C. 29072

LRADAC is the designated alcohol abuse and drug abuse authority for Lexington and Richland Counties of South Carolina. The public, not-for-profit agency offers a wide array of prevention, intervention and treatment programs in locations convenient to residents of both counties. The agency has a budget of approximately $10 million and serves more than 5,000 clients per year.
