Columbia, SC – Saturday, Oct 26th, is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. LRADAC is partnering with Rise Above It: Lexington Two Community Coalition (RAI), Lexington One Community Coalition (LOCC), Columbia Police Department and other local law enforcement agencies to host prescription drug take-back events at locations throughout Lexington and Richland Counties. The purpose of these collection sites is to provide community members with a safe way to dispose of unwanted, unused and expired medications. By doing so, these drugs are kept out of reach for children and will not contaminate the environment.
