LRADAC Foundation Receives $5,000 Aflac Charitable Fund Grant

February 14, 2019

Columbia, SC – LRADAC received a competitive grant to support the LRADAC Foundation Recovery Scholarship Fund. This project was supported by a grant from Aflac, housed at Central Carolina Community Foundation.

The LRADAC Foundation works to reduce substance misuse as a leading cause of family collapse and harm to children by supporting individuals and services at LRADAC. This one-year $5,000 grant will enable LRADAC to continue to provide treatment and recovery services to clients in need of financial assistance.

“At LRADAC, we hope to never turn anyone away from services due to an inability to pay. Luckily, with the help from resources such as this grant, we are able to continue to live by this high standard of providing life-changing services for all clients,” said Gayle Aycock, LRADAC President and CEO.

“Aflac is honored to support this outstanding organization and the important work it does to support those seeking recovery,” said Virgil Miller, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Aflac US, and President of Aflac Group.

In FY18, LRADAC awarded $151,254 in scholarships to 143 individuals. LRADAC is extremely appreciative of the community-minded Aflac grants committee and its dedication to bettering the lives of its neighbors.
