Lexington One Community Coalition to Host Youth Leadership Summit

Columbia, SC – The Lexington One Community Coalition will hold a youth leadership summit on Monday February 27 and Tuesday February 28, 2016!

Students will learn about living drug-free and how to be a positive influence on their peers to do the same.  Topics will include underage drinking, risky behaviors, media influence, identifying commonly misused substances by youth and the dangers of what they do to the body and brain, and drug resistance skills.

The summit will take place at the Lexington One Performing Arts Center and at Lexington Middle School from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.

LRADAC is the designated alcohol abuse and drug abuse authority for Lexington and Richland Counties of South Carolina. The public, not-for-profit agency offers a wide array of prevention, intervention and treatment programs in locations convenient to residents of both counties. The agency has a budget of approximately $10 million and serves more than 5,000 clients per year.
