Columbia, SC – LRADAC’s Board of Directors announced today the selection of Gayle Aycock as the agency’s new President and CEO.
Steve Hatchell, Chair of LRADAC’s Board of Directors, said, “The Board of Directors conducted a nationwide search for the next President and CEO. It just so happened that the best person for the job was already a part of the organization. Ms. Aycock brings a wealth of experience and knowledge about not only clinical treatment for addiction but the organization itself and the community we serve.”
Aycock has been with LRADAC since 2005, most recently serving as the Director of Quality Assurance. In this role, she developed and directed the Continuous Quality Improvement program, ensured agency compliance with HIPAA and 42CFR Federal Regulations regarding consumer confidentiality and privacy, and prepared the agency for CARF Accreditation Surveys. Aycock stated, “Having been a part of the LRADAC family for many years, I am honored to serve as the President and CEO. I look forward to working alongside the excellent staff who work so hard to meet the needs of the people in Lexington and Richland counties.”
Prior to her work at LRADAC, Aycock served as Director of the Earle E. Morris Jr. Alcohol & Drug Addiction Treatment Center. Aycock holds a masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of South Carolina. For many years, she served as a consultant and surveyor on the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. In recent years, Aycock also served as the board treasurer of Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands and as a board member for Killingsworth Home.
